Barbara J. Wells

Barbara J. Wells, 86, of Franklin, died on August 9, 2026 at Bickford of Middletown. She was born on September 2, 1939 in Hamilton, OH to Donald and Hazel Kirk.

She was a cook at West Elkton Schools for 10 years. She also worked at Sears and was a greeter at Meijer.

Barbara was a caretaker for her mom, dad and her sister. She lovingly helped in raising her brother.

Barbara is survived by her son, Daniel Wayne (Kerry) Wells; daughter, Lorna (Darrell) Tucker; 7 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; brother, Donald (Betty) Kirk; multiple loving and caring cousins and her beloved cat, Molly.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Loren Wells and son, David Wells.

Visitation will be Thursday, August 13, 2026 from 10:00 AM to11:00 AM at Spaulding Funeral Home & Crematory, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd., (at Bonita Dr.) Middletown, OH.

Funeral Service follow at 11:00 AM the funeral home with Pastor Barry Shafer officiating.

Interment will be at Fairmound Cemetery.
