Catherine J. Howard

Carolyn J. (Maurer) Howard, passed away on August 3, 2026 at age 79. Born in 1947 in Middletown, OH she was preceded in death by her parents Dr. S. Frederic and Ruth Catherine (Markert) Maurer.

She is survived by her brother, William F. Maurer of Peoria, IL; sister, Marcia (Timothy) Brown of Middletown, OH, and many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her aunt, Mary C. Maurer, dear friends, Deborah Stugmyer and Jim Montgomery.

She spent most of her working career at Armco General Offices prior to her retirement and served as Administrative Assistant to the President of the International Division. She enjoyed family and friends, reading, flower gardening and her home.
