Charles D. Tackett

Charles D. Tackett, 83, of Middletown, formerly of Riverside Township, Dayton and Fairborn, Ohio died Friday, October 22, 2010, at Hospice of Butler & Warren Counties. He was born in New Richmond, Ohio on April 24, 1927 to parents Jess and Maggie (Dixson) Tackett.

Charles worked as a repairman at Southwestern Portland Cement Co. for 30 years and was member of the Fairborn, Ohio F.O.E for 35 years.

Mr. Tackett is survived by his wife, Dorothy (Godfrey) Tackett; daughter, Karen (Tony) Watkins; sisters, Norma Leona Boggs, Shirley Tackett, and Gloria Kaczmarek; grandsons, Robert And David Caldwell; great grandchildren, Katie And Christoper Caldwell.

Charles was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters and two brothers.

Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, October 26, 2010 at 2:00 pm at WILSON-SCHRAMM-SPAULDING FUNERAL HOME, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd., Middletown with Rev Jim Peterson officiating. Visitation will be prior to the service from 1:00 - 2:00 pm. Interment will be at Heritage Hill Memorial Gardens.
