Charles R. Richards

Charles R. Richards, 73, of Middletown, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, December 20, 2012, after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born in Bath County, Kentucky on January 10, 1939 to parents Everett Clay and Golda (Havens) Richards.

He was a veteran of the United States Air Force serving with the Strategic Air Command and was a member of A New Beginning Church and the Gold Wing Road Riders Association.

Mr. Richards is survived by his wife, Joyce (Brown) Richards; son, Matthew Scott Richards; daughters, Paula (Walter) Kistner, Ramona (Rusty) Browning & Valerie Richards; step daughter, Melissa Martin; brother, Dan Richards; sister, Dolores (Ken) Huggins; grandchildren, Kristen Combs, Laura McGee & Zachary Browning; and great grandchildren, Kyle & Jenna Combs.

He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Sherron Highley; and granddaughter, Toshia Highley.

Funeral Service will be held Monday, December 24, 2012 at 11:00 AM at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd., Middletown with Reverend Bruce Powell officating. Visitation will be Sunday from 2:00 - 5:00 pm. Interment will be at Butler County Memorial Park.
