Dorothy M. Washburn

Dorothy M. Washburn, 71, recently of Middletown, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, October 18, 2025 at her residence. She was born in East Stroudsburg, PA on August 24, 1954 to parents, Edward R. and Barbara J. (Hartzel) Read.

Dorothy retired as Dietary Manager for Seven Rivers Community Hospital in Crystal River, Florida. She enjoyed traveling and recently developed a passion for diamond painting. Above all else, Dorothy enjoyed spending time with her family, especially the grandkids.

Dorothy is survived by her daughters, Valerie (Tim) Kenney, Colleen (Eric) Snellings & Holly Washburn; grandchildren, Connor (Rhyenn Todd) Kenney, Chase Kenney, Madelyn Kenney & Michael Snellings; and her beloved dog, Simon; as well as many other loving family & friends.

In addition to her parents, Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Glen T. Washburn and brother, John Read.

A Celebration of Life will be Sunday, November 2, 2025 from 2:00 - 6:00 p.m. at Crystal Oaks Civic Association, 4958 W. Crystal Oaks Dr., Lecanto, FL 34461.
