Elinor V. Harris

Elinor Virginia Harris, 87, of Middletown, died Monday, March 26, 2012, at Otterbein-Lebanon Retirement Community. She was born in Covington, Kentucky on March 10, 1925 to parents Simon Leslie and Mildred (Weishaar) Jones.

Elinor worked for Elder-Beerman for over 40 years, retiring as a department manager in 2006. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church and Prosser Chapter #367 Order of Eastern Star.

Mrs. Harris is survived by her husband, James I. Harris; children, Susan Harris, Mike (Susie) Harris & Kathy (Bob) Hadley; brother, Donald (Barbara) Jones; sister, Carolyn (Robert) Garnett and four granddaughters, Jenny Harris, Emily Harris, Katie Hadley & Kara Hadley.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Warren "Ben" Jones.

Funeral Service will be held Friday, March 30, 2012 at 1:00 pm at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd., Middletown. Visitation will be prior to the service from 11:00 - 1:00 pm at the funeral home. Entombment will be at Woodside Mausoleum.
