Gary M. Daughetee

Gary M. Daughetee of Trenton, passed away peacefully on September 9, 2026, at the age of 89 at his home with family by his side.

Born in Dayton, Kentucky on July 25, 1937, Gary was the first born to Charles and Irma (Byrnun) Daughetee. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Barbara (Beiser) Daughetee of 63 years; infant daughter, Deborah; sons, Christopher and Douglas Daughetee and son-in-law, Michael Lacy.

Gary was a 1954 graduate of Middletown High School. He worked for the McAlpin Mercantile Company for 44 years and the Kroger Company for 7 years. Gary was a very active member at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church in Trenton; teaching CCD classes, serving on parish council and heading up many other events.

Gary is survived by his daughters, Sharon Lacy and Jennifer (Tom) Hughes; son, Marty (Connie) Daughetee; 13 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; brothers, James (Marsha) Daughetee and Dennis (Denise) Daughetee; daughter-in-law, Jeanine Daughetee.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, 9/9/2026 at 11:00 AM at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church, 222 Hamilton Ave, Trenton, OH with his grandson, Father Stephen Hughes as Celebrant.

Interment will follow at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Cemetery.
