Jack Opesky, 81, died Thursday, at Middletown Regional Hospital.
Mr. Opesky was a member of Holy Family Parish-St. John's Church. He worked for Armco Steel for 20 years, retiring in 1976. He served his country in the Marine Corps during WWII. Jack was a life member of the Disabled American Veterans Chapter 131, a member of the American Legion Post 218, the Knights of Columbus, and the American-Czechoslovakian Club of Dayton.
Jack is survived by his son Edward S. (Susan) Opesky, daughter Jean A. (Steve) Burgan, brother Rudolph Opavsky and grandchildren Nicole & Jacqueline Opesky, and Shane & Holly Burgan, all of Middletown. He was preceded in death by his wife Teresa L. Opesky in 1998, his parents Rudolph & Cecelia (Polakovich) Opavsky and one sister.
Monsignor Paul Metzger will celebrate the Mass of Christian Burial
