Runkel, James A. beloved husband of the late Carolyn Lee Runkel and Diane Runkel, devoted father of Anne (Bob) Wendell. Dear step-father of Denise (Bob) Meyer, Donald (Cathy) Leesman, Debra (Robert) Koenke, Danette (Jim) Reinert, Dennis (Lisa) Leesman, also survived by a sister Joanne ( Kyle) Otterbein, grandchildren Katie & Bobby Wendell, eight step-grandchildren and three great step-grandchildren, preceded by a son David J. Runkel and brother Donald Runkel. Age 80. Saturday Nov. 8, 2008. Memorial service Friday, Nov. 14, 2008 at 7:00 pm at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd. (State Rt. 122) Middletown, OH 45044.
