Jason R. Frentzel, 45, of Middletown, died on June 22, 2026, at Atrium Medical Center. He was born on August 1, 1980, in Oxford, OH to James E. and Sharon (Mullin) Frentzel.
Jason graduated from Fenwick High School in 1999, then earned his bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering at the University of Dayton. He worked as Director of Manufacturing at Pioneer Cladding and Glazing. Jason served two, 4-year terms on Monroe City Council from 2016 to 2023 and was Mayor of Monroe from 2020 to 2021. He enjoyed all types of auto racing and loved to travel, especially to National Parks.
Jason is survived by his mother, Sharon L. Frentzel; sister, Melissa (Jeff) Elam and significant other, Kati Kramer and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father and his grandparents.
Visitation will be Tuesday, June 30, 2026, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Spaulding Funeral Home & Crematory, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd (at Bonita Dr.) Middletown, OH.
Funeral Service will be Wednesday, July 1, 2026, at 12:30 PM the funeral home with Chris Carpenter officiating.
Interment will be at North Monroe Cemetery.
