John C. Markey

John C. Markey, 73, of Middletown, died on September 19, 2026 at Sycamore Trails Post Acute. He was born on July 8, 1953 in Washington County, Pennsylvania.

He earned his Bachelor's Degree at The College of Wooster and was successfully self employed in medical sales, along with his wife. John was a kind man who had a generous spirit and was always upbeat and ready to offer a smile. He was a hard worker and provider. John had a strong faith in God and was loved by his family.

John is survived by his wife, Janice Markey; brothers, Jay (Bobbie Leitkam) Markey and Randy (Charissa) Markey, in-laws, Pat (Kathy) Kaiser ,Gary Kaiser, Alan (Melanie) Kaiser, Lori (Dave) Mitchell and Kay (Jim) Koepnick.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John S. Markey and Mildred and Bob Gerdts; sons, Jason D. Markey and Adam J. Markey.

Visitation will be Saturday, September 26, 2026 from 9:00 -10:30 AM at Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd (at Bonita Dr.), Middletown, OH.

Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 AM at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 201 Clark Street, Middletown, OH.

Interment will be at Woodside Cemetery and Arboretum.
