Jonathon O. "Jon" Nerenberg, 75, of Monroe, died on April 29, 2026 at his residence. He was born on November 7, 1950 in Middletown to Robert W. and Carolyn S.(Spitz) Nerenberg.
Jon was a CPA, Attorney, Magistrate for Monroe and lifelong member of Sigma Alpha Mu at Indiana University. He worked on the Monroe Planning Commission and was involved in creating Monroe City Schools. He was a member of ACORNS, Jaycees and coached baseball, and was President of Monroe Sports Association. He loved music, especially the Beatles; and DJ'ed from time to time. Jon was an avid Reds and Bengals fan. Above all, he loved his family, his kids and grandkids.
Jon is survived by his wife, Carolyn M. (Wackler) Nerenberg; sons, Josh (Tabetha) Nerenberg, Jason (Danielle) Nerenberg, Jason (Ashley) MacDonald, Jared (Anna) Nerenberg; daughter, Amie (Kevin) Stokley; brothers, Bruce (Laura) Nerenberg and Daniel (Ilene Tanen) Nerenberg; grandchildren, Brendon Nerenberg, Cameron Motley, Paige Deming, Jack Nerenberg, Matthew Stokley, Brooklyn Nerenberg, Hunter MacDonald, Alice MacDonald, Crosley Nerenberg, Ozzy MacDonald and numerous other loving family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Lisa Nerenberg; grand-daughter, Nora.
Visitation will be Monday, May 4 from 10:00 AM to12:00 PM at Spaulding Funeral Home & Crematory, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd (at Bonita Dr.)Middletown, OH.
Funeral Service will follow at 12:00 PM at the funeral home with Rabbi Haviva Horvitz officiating.
