June Boxwell

June (Herman) Boxwell, 90, passed away on March 10, 2008, at Otterbein-Lebanon Retirement Community, where she had lived for the last 12 ½ years. She was the fifth of five daughters born to parents Charles and Henrietta (Anderson) Herman in Middletown. She lived all of her life in Middletown, with the exception of 4 years living in Miamisburg.

June was a graduate of Middletown High School in the class of 1935. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Middletown for 61 years, where she served in many capacities, including 12 years as a first-grade Sunday school teacher and over 40 years as a member of a weekly prayer group.

Mrs. Boxwell is survived by her daughter, Susan L. (Paul) Morrow; two grandchildren, David (Lynne) Morrow and Mary (Chris) Brower; one great granddaughter, Beth (Andrew) Strickenburg; sister-in-law, Thelma Lee; and several nieces & nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Douglas R. Boxwell in 2003; her parents; and 4 sisters.

A Memorial gathering will be held Sunday, March 16, 2008 at Otterbein - Lebanon Chapel from 1:00 – 2:00 PM. There will be a private service for the family at a later date.
