Larry Dean Barker, 67, of Middletown, passed away on Friday, March 20, 2026. He was born and raised in Middletown, where he spent his life building a legacy of faith, family, and hard work.
Larry retired from Armor Metal after many years of dedicated work. Outside of his career, he lived life with passion and personality. He earned a black belt in Tae Kwon Do and loved riding dirt bikes and his Honda Goldwing. He was an avid pro-wrestling fan, enjoyed gardening, camping, and cherished every moment spent with his family. Known for his caring and giving nature, Larry also had a playful sense of humor. He especially enjoyed giving gifts wrapped in gag boxes - often disguised as something completely different - bringing laughter to those around him. He was also known for his stubborn streak, a trait that made him both strong-willed and dependable. Above all, Larry was a man of deep and abiding faith. He was a dedicated member of Spring Hill Church of Christ, and his belief in God guided the way he lived his life and loved his family. Larry will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew him.
Larry was the beloved husband of Linda Barker, with whom he shared 49 years of marriage. He was a devoted father to Christina Dunn, Rachel (Doug) Hayes, and Emily Barker. He was a proud grandfather to Nathan (Kaitlyn), Madison, Haleigh, Tristan, Riley & Anderson; and a great-grandfather to Raylan & Emma.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Glen and Patty Barker; and his brother, Tim Barker.
