Linda M. Ponder

Linda M. Ponder, 78, of Hamilton, died on June 8, 2026, at Kettering Health Hamilton. She was born on July 3, 1947, in Hamilton, OH, to Oscar and Elfreda (Adams) Schlichter.

She was a computer and business teacher at Fairfield High School, retiring in 1974 to have her children. While raising her daughter and son she worked for McAlpins and Dillards. Linda was an avid bird watcher and feeder of wildlife, loved to read and collect books and enjoyed Coca Cola and sweets such as cookies and candy. She also loved music, especially Gary Allen, cheering on the Bengal and the Pacers, and traveling to Gatlinburg. Linda loved her dog Ziggy and sometimes loved her 40-year-old Parrot, Huey. Most of all, spending time with her family and her sisters brought her the most joy.

Linda is survived by her daughter, Amy (Michael) Schneider; son, Kevin Ponder; her two sisters; grandchildren, Mikey Schneider, Noah Schneider, Faith Schneider, Hope Schneider, Grady Maenpa, Trent Ponder, Phoenix Ponder and Ellis Ponder along with the extended Ponder Family.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband and soulmate, Wayne Ponder.
