Mary Margaret was born in Middletown to Elbert L. Hawkins and Mable Menger Hawkins on May 25, 1925. A 1943 graduate of Middletown High School, she married Richard T. Linkins on August 9, 1947. Mary Margaret was employed several years for her father, who sold Hudson automobiles. She was a lifelong member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church, The Women of the Church, and the morning church circle. Mary Margaret was instumental in beginning the Leisure Group, a social group for married couples in the church, and was a member of La Soiree, which hosted ballroom dancing evenings. She is survived by her husband, Richard T. Linkins, a sister Alice R. Hawkins of Mount Pleasant Retirement Village, a daughter Sue Ellen Linkins of Spring Texas, and a son, Michael R. Linkins of Fort Worth, Texas. She was a resident of Garden Manor Retirement Village at the time of her death.

Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, December 20, 2005 at 11:00 AM at Bethlehem Lutheran Church with Reverend Gene Leiter officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday, December 20, 2005 from 10-11 AM at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 212 S. Broad Street, Middletown, OH Interment will be at Woodside Cemetery.
