Mary R. Singhoffer

Mary R. Singhoffer, 92, of Middletown, died Wednesday, January 1, 2014, at Hospice of Butler & Warren Counties. She was born in Yellow Springs, Ohio on November 1, 1921 to parents Paul and Clare Marie (Heider) Pitstick.

Mary was a member of Holy Family Parish - Holy Trinity Church where she sang with the choir until after her 90th birthday. She enjoyed singing, quilting & crafting and into her late 80's spent her summers in a cabin in the woods on a lake in Ontario, Canada. Her baked treats, especially pies, will be missed.

Mrs. Singhoffer is survived by her son, Rudolph J. Singhoffer; daughter, Susan Hinds; brothers, Paul Pitstick, Gerry Pitstick & George Pitstick; sister, Angie (John) Cimprich; 7 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces & great nephews; and special friends, Carroll Smith & Lorna Brown.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Rudolph Singhoffer in 1996; parents; brothers, Carl Pitstick, Eugene Pitstick & Roger Pitstick; and sister, Irene Oberst.

The family wishes to extend special thanks to Mary's caregivers at The Woodlands and at Hospice of Butler & Warren Counties.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, January 4, 2014 at 11:00 am at Holy Family Parish - Holy Trinity Church, 201 Clark Street, Middletown with Father John Civille as celebrant. Visitation will be prior to the service from 10:00 - 11:00 am at church. Entombment will be at Woodside Mausoleum.
