Mavis G. Benjamin

Mavis Gertrude Benjamin, 87, of Lebanon, died Thursday, January 23, 2003 at Lebanon Country Manor. She was born on August 18, 1915 in Ernest, Owsley County, Kentucky to parents Price and Mattie (Hall) Gabbard.

Mrs. Benjamin lived in Bethel for 46 years and was a member of the Bethel Church of Christ, before becoming a resident of Lebanon Country Manor.

She is survived by her two sons, C. David (Patricia) Benjamin of Middletown, Ohio, and Michael E. (Lois) Benjamin of Winter Park, Florida, her four sisters Dorothy Garrison of Louisville, Kentucky, Eva Hildebrandt of Batavia, Ohio, Lillian Gire of Florence, Kentucky, and Norma Hanke of Withamville, Ohio, her six grandchildren Rodney, Tony, Shannon, Tom, Timothy, and Christina Benjamin, and eight great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband Ernest C. Benjamin on March 1, 1988 and her parents.

Graveside funeral service will be held Monday, January 27, 2003 at 1:00 PM at the Tate Township Cemetery in Bethel, Ohio with Reverend Bob Wickline officiating. Arrangements are by Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, Middletown, Ohio.
