Michael Dale Gardner

Michael D. "Mike" Gardner, 83, of Monroe, died Saturday, January 10, 2015, at Hospice of Butler & Warren Counties. He was born in Middletown, Ohio on March 19, 1931 to parents John J. and Ann (Weishaar) Gardner.

Mike worked for 44 years as a Hot Strip roller at Armco Steel retiring in 1991. He was a member of Holy Family Parish and coached Middletown Knothole Baseball and loved fishing.

Mr. Gardner is survived by his sons, Rick (Karen) Gardner and Mike (B.K.) Gardner; daughter, Karen Stebbins; sister, Mary Ellen Cole and 7 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.

Mike was preceded in death by wife Pauline in 2003, his parents, brothers, Jack and James and sister, Marjorie Bowman.

Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, January 14, 2015 at 1:00 pm at WILSON-SCHRAMM-SPAULDING FUNERAL HOME, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd., Middletown with Father John Civille officiating. Visitation will be prior to the service from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm. Interment will be at Woodside Cemetery.
