Michael Hocz

Michael Hocz, 91, of Middletown, died Tuesday, December 20, 2011, at Hospice of Butler & Warren Counties. He was born in Middletown on August 26, 1920 to parents Frank and Elizabeth (Varga) Hocz.

Michael worked as a mechanic and served his country in the United States Coast Guard. He was a member of First United Methodist Church and had a passion for fishing with his buddies.

Mr. Hocz is survived by his sons, Gary M. (Diane) Hocz & Dale F. (Robyn) Hocz; daughter, Paula Lynn (Greg Parisian) Whitmer; sisters, Elizabeth Cardwell & Irene Lykins; 6 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Julia Hocz in 2006; parents; brothers, Steve Koster, Joe Hocz & Andy Hocz; and sister, Mary Masters.

Funeral Service will be held Friday, December 23, 2011 at 12:00 Noon at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd., Middletown with Reverend Dean Penrod officiating. Visitation will be prior to the service from 10:30 am - 12:00 noon at the funeral home. Interment will be at Woodside Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Butler & Warren Counties, 5940 Long Meadow Dr., Franklin, Ohio 45005 or the charity of donor's choice.
