Mildred L. Thomas

Mildred L. Thomas, 96, of Middletown, died Sunday, October 19, 2014, at Hospice of Butler & Warren Counties. She was born in Middletown on April 1, 1918 to parents George and Rose Helena (Ohr) Long.

Mildred worked as a teller and handled new accounts at First National Bank of Southwest Ohio, retiring in 1981 after 18 years of service. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church, the Elks Socialites, the Middletown Area Senior Citizens and the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary. Millie got great joy from seeing her five grandchildren grow up - they were a true light in her life. She was also blessed to spend time with her three great grandchildren.

Mrs. Thomas is survived by her sons, Gary (Susan) Thomas, Kenneth (Nancy) Thomas & William (Lynn) Thomas; grandchildren, David (Kelli Jo) Thomas, Amy Thomas, Ashley (Ben) Sammons, Lucas Thomas & Kobe Thomas; and great grandchildren, Lydia Sammons, Clive Sammons & Delia Green.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Sherley Thomas in 1993; parents; and sister, Helen Turner.

Funeral Service will be held Thursday, October 23, 2014 at 11:00 am at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd., Middletown with Pastor Ed Soto officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service from 10:00 - 11:00 am. Interment will be at Woodside Cemetery.
