Nancy Norma Buffenbarger

Nancy N. (Newman) Buffenbarger 89, of Middletown, passed away on Tuesday, December 9, 2025 at Ohio's Hospice of Butler & Warren Counties. She was born in Piqua, Ohio on May 2, 1936 to parents, Lowell and Hilda Irene (Foust) Newman.

Nancy had worked for the Village of Monroe in the late 1960's into the early 1970's. She then turned to jobs in the legal field, working for Judge Hendrickson for 7 years, followed by being legal secretary for the offices of both Early's Attorney's at Law and Fahrenholz Attorney's at Law. Never one to sit still, she later worked in real estate.

Above all else, Nancy loved her family and she will be greatly missed by her daughter, Andrea (Kevin) Wills; son, Ben (Kim) Buffenbarger; son-in-law, Tom Swartzbaugh; six grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; and many more loving extended family & friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her devoted husband, John K. "Jack" Buffenbarger and beloved daughter, Amelia Swartzbaugh.

Gathering of family & friends to celebrate Nancy's life will be Saturday, January 3, 2026 from 1:00 - 4:00 p.m. in the reception room at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd (at Bonita Dr.), Middletown.
