Norman "Norm" Lee Kepner, Jr.

Norman "Norm" Lee Kepner, Jr., 80, of Middletown, Ohio, passed away on September 26, 2026. He was born on April 5, 1946, in Portsmouth, Ohio, the son of the late Norman Lee Kepner, Sr. and Bette Anne Kepner.

Norm graduated from Greenville High School in 1964 and began his career at NCR where he worked from 1968 to 1970. He then joined Armco, which later became AK Steel, where he worked from 1972 until his retirement in 2004.

A true hot rod guy at heart, Norm took great pride in restoring and driving his custom cars, including a 1978 El Camino, a 1973 Plymouth Barracuda, and a 1964 Pontiac GTO. He also loved coaching baseball and spent many days passing his love of baseball and other sports on to others. Norm and his family shared a passion for travel, exploring the United States together and visiting numerous national parks and monuments along the way. In retirement, one of his greatest joys was cheering on his grandchildren at their sporting events, never missing a chance to be in the stands.

Norm is survived by his wife of 58 years, Becky Kepner; children, Matt (Constance) Kepner, Jason (Patti) Kepner, and Mandy (Kelly) Hunter; and his grandchildren, Kevin (Cassidy) Kepner, Kyle Kepner, Kaitlynne Kepner, Kaiden Hunter, and Brady Hunter.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the nurses and caregivers at Ohio Hospice of Butler and Warren Counties for the compassionate care they gave Norm in his final days.
