Oneda Marchetti

Jun 18, 1931 — Oct 13, 2026

Middletown

Oneda Marchetti, 95, of Middletown, died on Tuesday, October 13, 2026. She was born on June 18, 1931, in Salyersville, Kentucky to Roland C. and Delia (Rowe) Salyer.

Oneda was a loving mother; a devoted family woman, and kind soul whose warmth and generosity left a lasting impressing on everyone fortunate enough to know her. Above all else, her family was the most important thing in her life. She took great pride in the love and care she gave to each of her children, and her home was always a place of comfort, safety, and welcome. She opened her doors and her heart to many of her nieces and nephews in need, offering a helping hand, a place to stay, and the reassurance that they were never alone.

Oneda had a smile to give to everyone, and her caring spirit could be felt in the little things she did each day. She expressed her love through her actions, always finding ways to nurture, provide for, and support the people she loved. Her family was her greatest accomplishment and the legacy she leaves behind.

A true green thumb, Oneda found joy tending to her flowers and caring for her garden. Every year, she planted a vegetable garden along side her husband, Tony. Together they would can tomato sauce, green beans, and many other vegetables that were cooked with love for the family dinner table. Her gardens reflected who she was: patient, hardworking, generous, and devoted to helping things grow. Just as she nurtured her plants, she nurtured her family with an abundance of love and care.

Beyond her family and home, Oneda had a passion for bowling. An avid bowler, she was proud to be a member of the MWBA Hall of Fame, an achievement that reflected her dedication and love for the sport.

Oneda also demonstrated her patriotism and commitment to her community through her membership in the American Legion Women’s Auxiliary as a member of the board and flag Corps. She proudly carried the flag in every Memorial Day and Fourth of July parade, honoring the country and the service members who sacrificed for it. Her participation was a meaningful expression of her respect, pride, and devotion.

Oneda will be remembered for her generous heart, her welcoming home, her beautiful smile, and the countless ways she showed her love. Her life was a testament to the importance of family, the value of hard work, and the difference one caring person can make in the lives of others.

Though she will be deeply missed her love will continue to live on in the hearts of her children, her family, and all those whose lives she touched. The lessons she taught, the memories she created, and the love she gave so freely will remain a treasured part of her family for generations to come.

She will always be loved, forever missed, and never forgotten.

She is survived by her son, Steven (Vickie) Marchetti; son, Terry (Cindy) Marchetti; daughter, Linda (Robert) Moorman; daughter; Kathy (Robert Loudenslager) Marchetti; grandchildren, Laurie Anne (Mark) Markwell, Michael Adam (Sarah) Marchetti, Anna Maria (Christopher) Noble, Maire Kathleen (Christopher) Mengerink, Peter Matthew (Kathy) Marchetti, Amanda Dawn (Mark) Shroyer, Zachary Scott Marchetti, Robert Joseph Moorman III, Jessica Marie Darney, William Anthony Johnson, Kyle Jacob Nance and Nathan Kane Nance and thirteen great grandchildren.
