Peggy A. Swartz

Peggy Swartz, 83, of Trenton, died Sunday, September 23, 2018, at Otterbein-Lebanon Retirement Community. She was born in Butler, Missouri on January 4, 1935 to parents Esta Lee and Grace Magdalene (Hines) Cox.

Peggy worked as a receptionist at the YMCA for 15 years. She was an avid runner and enjoyed running marathons. She also enjoyed traveling, fishing and spending time with her grandchildren. Peggy was a member of Grace Baptist Church.

Mrs. Swartz is survived by her husband of 62 years, Robert Swartz; daughter, Vicki Swartz; sons, Robert (Carol) Swartz Jr. & Shane (Lynne) Swartz; sister, Norma (Ken) Jones; sister-in-law, Barbara Cox; grandchildren, Ryan (Megan), Krista (Mary Beth), Laura (Patrick), Betsy, Amber, Heather, Seth, Kelsey (Nick), & Evan; and great grandchildren, Cheyenne & Ava. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Bill Cox.

Funeral Service will be held Friday, September 28, 2018 at 11:00 am at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd., Middletown with Pastor Jim Winters officiating. Visitation will be Thursday from 6:00 - 8:00 pm. Interment will be at Butler County Memorial Park.
