Richard M. Riva

Richard M. Riva, Sr., 75, of Middletown, died Monday, November 12, 2012, at Hospice of Butler & Warren Counties. He was born in Sesser, Illinois on May 1, 1937 to parents Frank and Mary (Kerbovac) Riva. Mr. Riva retired from Western Southern as a district manager in 1996 after 34 years. He served in the Army during the Korean Conflict and was a member of Holy Family Parish and 4th Degree member of the K of C #1610. Mr. Riva is survived by his wife, Winnie E. (Booe) Riva; sons, Richard (Tracy) Riva Jr., Chris (Jamie) Riva, daughter, Maria (Tom) Riva Newsad; grandchildren, Jennifer Riva, Douglas (Megan) Riva, Katherine Riva, Sarah Newsad, Wil Riva, Elle Riva, Mary Jay Riva; great granddaughters, Megan Coffman and McKayla Kerns; uncle, Lee Kerbovac; aunt, Ann Pyle. Richard was preceded in death by his parents. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, November 16, 2012 at 11:30 AM at Holy Family Parish - St. John's Church, 1405 First Avenue, Middletown with Father John Civille as celebrant. Visitation will be prior to the service from 9:00 - 11:00 AM at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd., Middletown, OH. Interment will be at Woodside Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to St. Vincent DePaul Society, c/o Holy Family Parish, 201 Clark Street, Middletown, OH 45042
