Robert C. O'Connor

Robert C. O´Connor, 87, of Middletown, died on Wednesday, December 21, 2005, at Miami Valley Hospital. He was born in Middletown, on January 19, 1918 to Charles and Bertha (Neu) O´Connor.

Mr. O´Connor worked in shipping for Armco Steel Corporation for 45 years. He was a member of Holy Family Parish. On February 10, 1979 he was accredited with saving a 10 year old boy from the Hydraulic Canal.

Robert is survived by his wife, Frances (Price) O’Connor; a daughter, Barbara (Paul) Donley of Hendersonville, TN; a son, Timothy (Carol) O'Connor of Middletown, OH; one sister, Sister Margaret O'Connor; one brother, John O'Connor; 4 grandchildren; and 4 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, William, Thomas, Richard, Ralph, & Cecil O'Connor; and sisters, Jean Smith, Phyllis Gillespie, Mary Jane Martinek, and Patricia Ewald.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, December 24, 2005 at 10:00 AM at Holy Family Parish - Holy Trinity Church with Father John Civille as celebrant. Visitation will be Friday, December 23, 2005 from 6-8 PM at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd. (at Bonita Dr.). Interment will be at Woodside Cemetery.
