Ronald Lee Fondersmith

Ronald Lee Fondersmith, 81, of Middletown, died on July 27, 2026. He was born on September 23, 1944 in Dayton, OH to Harold Moddie and Mearl Martha (Humbert) Fondersmith.

He was a processing Engineer at AK Steel for 37 years. He enjoyed, golfing, reading and traveling with Mary.

Ronald is survived by his wife of 27 years, Mary (Robson) Fondersmith; daughter, April (Matthew) Landrum; grandchildren, Sydney Michelle (Matthew) McFarland and Reagan Elise Landrum; great grandchildren, Jett Hall and Leighton McFarland; stepson, Paul (Stacy) Hobson; stepgrandchildren, Alexander Dean Hobson, Benjamin Edward Hobson and Joseph William Hobson.

He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Mary Elizabeth Fondersmith.

Visitation will be Tuesday, August 4, 2026 from 1:30 PM to 2:00 PM at Spaulding Funeral Home & Crematory, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd (at Bonita Dr.) Middletown, OH.

Memorial Service will follow at 2:00 PM at the funeral home with Pastor John Robson officiating.
