Rubye F. Blankenship
February 14, 1916 — September 3, 2008
Rubye F. Blankenship, 92, of Middletown, died Wednesday, September 3, 2008, at Kensington Place. She was born in Middletown on February 14, 1916 and was raised by Ann & Robert Armbruster.
Rubye worked as a telephone operator for Ohio Bell for 30 years. She served her country as a Sergeant in the United States Army during World War II.
Miss Blankenship is survived by her caregiver, Cindy Downey.
A Graveside service will be held Saturday, September 6, 2008 at 10:00 am at Woodside Cemetery, 1401 Woodside Blvd., Middletown with Reverend Dr. Eric Newell officiating and with military honors conducted by Middletown Combined Honor Guard.
