Ruth E. Melampy

Ruth E. Melampy, 92, of Franklin, died Tuesday, June 26, 2018, at Hospice of Butler & Warren Counties. She was born in Morrow on November 19, 1925 to parents Michael G. and Iva (McLaughlin) Sutter III.

Ruth was a member of Holy Family Parish and had devoted her time to making a loving home for her family. She was an avid bowler and was a member of the Middletown Women’s Bowling Association Hall of Fame. She also enjoyed sports and loved the Cincinnati Reds.

Mrs. Melampy is survived by her son, Dale J. (Linda) Melampy; grandchildren, Rachel Lane (Robert) Mullins, Zachary Joseph (Britiany) Melampy & Sara Elizabeth (Luke) Holtsberry; great grandchildren, Lilly, Sidney, Jocy & Nevi; nephew, Ellis Spray; niece, Veda Holloway; as well as many other loving family & friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph J. Melampy; parents; and sister, Edith Spray.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, June 29, 2018 at 10:00 am at Holy Family Parish - Holy Trinity Church, 201 Clark Street, Middletown with Father John Civille as celebrant. Visitation will be Thursday from 5:00 - 8:00 pm at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd., Middletown.
