Shelley Ann Snell-Plumbo, 60, of Middletown, died Friday, April 22, 2011, at Atrium Medical Center. She was born in Dayton on August 14, 1950.
Shelley was a graduate of Middletown High School in 1968 and Dayton School of Practical Nursing in 1984. She worked as Director of Nursing for two Warren County M.R.D.D. facilities, Fairview & Hopewell. She then graduated from Miami University with a Bachelor's degree in education in 1998 and taught at John XXIII School for many years.
Mrs. Snell is survived by her daughters, Elizabeth (Michael) Snell, S. Hollie (William) McClendon & Michelle (Tim) Plumbo; six grandchildren, Sara (Jeff) Snell, Ian (Ashley) Duff, Connor (Alyssa) Duff, Emily Duff, Trey Snell & Kiah Allen; four great grandchildren, Ara Pringle, Nevaeh Pringle, Lailynn Duff & Alivia Duff; sister, Shannon (Randy) Emrick; brother, Keith Powell; niece, Shandi (Charlie) Farquer; nephews, Chris (Tiffany) Emrick, Creighton (Sydney) Emrick & Jordon (Janet Burton) Powell; and several other family & friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Michael James Plumbo; parents Donald & Elizabeth Powell; and brothers, Kevin Powell & Grant Powell.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, April 29, 2011 at 11:00 am at Holy Family Parish - Holy Trinity Church, 201 Clark Street, Middletown with Father John Civille as celebrant. Visitation will be prior to the service from 10:00 - 11:00 am at church.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the family c/o Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home.
