Teresa Ann Travis

Teresa Ann Travis, 69, passed away peacefully on August 3, 2026. She was born on September 1, 1956, in Hope Mills, North Carolina, to George Allard Marshall and Marie Ann (Ford) Marshall.

Teresa dedicated many years of her life as a CNA, where she touched the lives of countless patients with her kindness and care. A devoted Baptist, her faith was an important part of who she was and guided the way she lived her life.

She found joy in life's simple pleasures. She loved watching movies—especially those starring Wesley Snipes and Brad Pitt—spoiling her beloved cats, enjoying an ice-cold Pepsi, and, above all else, spending time with the people she loved. Her greatest joy was her family, and she will be remembered for the love, warmth, and laughter she shared with them.

Teresa is lovingly survived by her husband, Brian Travis; her daughter, Ashley Travis; her son, Dereck (Marley) Travis; and her sister, Kecia Harley. She also leaves behind many extended family members and friends who will miss her dearly.

She was preceded in death by her parents, George Allard Marshall and Marie Ann (Ford) Marshall, and her brother, George Marshall Jr.

A celebration of Teresa's life will be announced at a later date.

Though she is no longer with us, Teresa's love, faith, and the memories she created will remain forever in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
