Virgil L. Royse

Virgil L. Royse, 73, of Middletown, died Monday, July 21, 2008, at West Chester Nursing & Rehabilitation. He was born in Franklin, on May 11, 1935 to parents John and Bertha (Smith) Royse.

Mr. Royse worked as a supervisor for Monsanto, retiring in 1980 after 22 years. He served in the United States Marine Corps during the Korean Conflict and was a member of the American Legion Post 218.

Mr. Royse is survived by his sisters, Bernice Coleman and Maxine Lindsay; and numerous nieces & nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Anna H. Royse in 1992; his parents; brother, John Royse; brothers-in-law, Tony Stugmyer and Andy Stugmyer; and sisters, Geraldine Sorrell and Norma Emrick.

Funeral Service will be held Thursday, July 24, 2008 at 2:00 pm at WILSON-SCHRAMM-SPAULDING FUNERAL HOME, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd., Middletown. Visitation will be prior to the service from 1:00 - 2:00 pm. Entombment will be at Woodside Mausoleum.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorial donations be made to Bible Methodist Church, 6000 Dixie Hwy., Franklin, OH 45005.
