William E. Wood

William E. Wood, 85, of Middletown, died on February 6, 2007, at Kensington Place. He was born in Springfield, Pennsylvania on December 31, 1921 to parents Alonzo and Gertrude (Wright) Wood.

Mr. Wood was a retired Air Force veteran and member of the American Legion Post 218 and the VFW #3809.

William was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his wife, Betty A. (Miller) Wood; son, William E. (Anne) Wood Jr.; daughter, Dianne (James) Battigaglia; step daughter, Melinda Gridda; two sisters, Lucille (Joe) Bevalaqua and Florence Patelunas; one brother, Donald (Betty) Wood; and two grandchildren, Robin Wood and Jimmy Battigaglia.

Funeral service will be private at the convenience of the family.
