William H. Cardwell Sr.

William H. Cardwell, Sr., 87, of Middletown, died on August 7, 2007, at Middletown Regional Hospital. He was born in Gallipolis, Ohio on April 23, 1920 to parents Hebert and Clara (Westfall) Cardwell.

Mr. Cardwell worked as an Aeronautical Engineer for Goodyear and was a veteran of the United States Navy.

Mr. Cardwell is survived by his wife, Elizabeth (Hocz) Cardwell; three children, Dr. William (Judi) Cardwell, Douglas A. Cardwell, and Barbara (Daniel) McMillan; a sister, Barbara Epling; sister-in-law, Irene Lykins; and six grandchildren, Chad, Michael, Patrick, Katie, Collin, & Ethan.

He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Wilma Porterfield.

A Memorial Service will be held Friday, August 10, 2007 at 1:00 PM at WILSON-SCHRAMM-SPAULDING FUNERAL HOME, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd. (at Bonita Dr.) with Judi Cardwell officiating. Inurnment will be at Woodside Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association, Ohio Valley Affiliate, P.O. Box 163549, Columbus, OH 43216-3549.
