Zona Day

Zona Day, 92, of Middletown, died on Tuesday, October 11, 2005, at her residence . She was born in Hyden, Kentucky on March 19, 1913 to parents Morrell and Matilda (Whitehead) Maggard.

She was a Homemaker and a member of Crosspointe Church of Christ for 60 Years

She is survived by three daughters: Wilma (Robert) Baehler of Hamilton, OH, Carolyn R. Angel of Middletown, OH, Lois P. (Taylor) Banks of Monroe, OH; one sister: Eunice Pennington; one brother: Okey (Mollie) Maggard; two grandsons, Craig (Rebecca) Daniels, David (Elena) Banks: one granddaughter, Nikki (Robert) Kurtz; 5 great grandchildren, Jonathon Simpson, Taylor Simpson, Geoffrey Daniels, Carling Daniels, and Jamie Lynn Daniels; and special friend and caregiver Shirley Lawson.

Zona was preceded in death by her parents; two husbands: Willie Pennington, and John Day; a son, Keith Edward Day; four brothers: Gordon, Otto, Elmer, and Boyd Maggard; and two sisters: Nora Baker, and Goldie Maggard.


Funeral Service will be held Friday, October 14, 2005 at 11:00 AM at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home with Pastor Travis Brown officiating. Visitation will be Thursday, October 13, 2005 from 5-8 PM at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd.(at Bonita Dr.), Middletown, OH, 45044. Interment will be at Butler County Memorial Park.
